GetHuman43973: I hold an suggested solution hope it can settle the backfire caused by the change of Barbie's body figure.
GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 11/29/17?
GetHuman43973: If there are so many controversial opinions on the Barbie's change of body shape and doubt on whether this act makes Barbie no longer iconic, why don't kept Barbie( the blonde and thin one) as original while introducing new characters (with different skin colours and body figure) to be Barbie's friend or partner? Just give those newly designed characters a name will do! *Then people will not say that Mattel is trying to build up a wrong social influence on girls' image while Barbie's can still kept as iconic as before. *If those characters sales are not as hot as Barbie, then maybe a movie can be produced which involves these characters ( e.g. A story between the friendships of the two?) *I am sorry for the poorly written message( with lots of grammatical mistakes- I am still a student ) I hope my opinion can help a bit, because I am a Barbie lovers since I was very small!
