~wytwyw: Met Life lost my payment check in their office. They told me verbally they logged it in well in advance of the due date and there would be no fees. But now they are charging fees and are attempting to make "collections" for something they have and told me they have. I called and spoke to someone who had to get a supervisor on the line. Interestingly enough: they got confused and kept me on the line while they discussed how to change their error to my fault and to say I lost it in the mail and ignore the fact that they had the payment and just didn't process it. This is still an open issue with a BBB complaint started. I will be changing loan providers. Met Life is horrible at customer service and is an unethical business that practices illegal business. It just skitters on the edge of deny-ability.
