GetHuman-225834: I called to find out why my refund has taken * mo. Aswer: it has to be reviewed because it was a large refund. I was told to expect the check in atother *-* weeks. wshen it did not arrive I called back, the women on the line said she would approve the refund and I should expect my refund in ** days or so. When asked why it has to be reviewed, she answered to be sure everything was correct* however she approved the refund in about ** seconds. I further asked how much longer my return would have been ignored had I not called, she replied "I don't know, there is only one person there to review the files." How can this be? Does the State of New Mexico pay me interest while they ignore my return. I'm sure they have plenty of staff to address my return if I owe them money! And they charge *.* % per month or **% anually. I am very upset that my taxes support such inefficiency and indiffernce.
