GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's REI customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Rob R.: REI is truly a scam and many of their practices are fraudulent, particularly their membership system. The customer service is terrible. Quite frankly, I had one of the worst experiences imaginable with REI of any company I have ever done business with. This company flat out gets an F. Shop elsewhere and save money...I guarantee you anything you want to buy at REI you can find for **%* cheaper elsewhere and receive better service and treatment.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting REI. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a REI problem?
~Rob R.: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Rob R.: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about REI's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Rob R.: For that I would say one out of five.

~Rob R.: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for REI to know who you are.
