GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's REI customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Outraged Customer: When providing the info to write the review... under "quality of communication" it should be "how well were you understood?" I understood just fine just didn't agree! Anyway, * days ago I visited REI to buy the necessary supplies for my trip to South Africa and spend about $***. A few days later (maybe *), I got a coupon in the mail for **% off one, regular priced item, that members could take advantage of. I went back to the store to get an adjustment and was told that they don't do price adjustments because of coupons! Seriously, even though I purchased the item only * days earlier? CHRIS (at the Olympia, WA location) was very negative with an attitude, and his tone was unacceptable! Only after I said that I will then return the item and buy it again, he said he would make an exception this one time! Unbelievable!

~Outraged Customer: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Outraged Customer: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about REI's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Outraged Customer: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other REI customers?
~Outraged Customer: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for REI to know who you are.
