GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Social Security customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~eh: I called & after a ** minute wait, the person I reached said, "I'll transfer you to someone who can help." It sounded like I was simply put back in the que. After another ** minutes, Hector came on. He took my info, put me on hold, I was there for another ** minutes before being disconnected. Unbelievable! Repeated attempts to contact them again were futile. The automated system kept saying I was calling outside of business hours. It was a couple of hours after their office had opened but no matter how I tried I couldn't get through to a live person again. Not sure it would have helped anyway. ** minutes wasted and absolutely no help, no answers. IF this was a private company they would be Verizon.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Social Security. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Social Security problem?
~eh: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~eh: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Social Security's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~eh: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Social Security customers?
~eh: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Social Security to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~eh taken from his Social Security customer service problem that occurred on November 13th, 2017.
