GetHuman-262663: I received an unclear answer about how much it would cost to have a technician come to our house to solve a problem with our phone line. At first he said it would cost "up to $**". When I inquired what determined the cost, he stumbled and confirmed it would definitely cost $**. I then asked to speak to someone to learn more about their rates and billing and I was transferred to someone else who told me if the technician discovered it was FIOS fault the service call was free. If it was our household wiring i would have to pay $**. In other words, I'd be out $** and still wouldn't have phone service.
