~Dangitgirl: My husband works in another state and company does not have direct deposit, so he is forced to send money to me weekly VIA western union. This has cost us a small fortune to say the least. I would relate it to "legal loan sharking" they have your money instantly, yet charge outrageous fees. I don't see how they continue to be able to practice this way. I am on the internet searching for alternate MUCH MORE affordable ways for him to get money to me each week. When I inquired about their prepaid card. Was told he had to have the card with him in order to load money onto it...NOT even their prepaid card does us any good... boo Western Union. You steal from people who need to get money home, $** bucks to deposit the money into our checking account. Have you lost your minds???? WOW.. I am in shock! will never use again, used for years before when my kids were in college. Now I remember why I stopped using them then. You won't be getting any richer off me...
