GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Xilinx Inc. customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~univ111: I paid for a commercial Xilinx tool license for Vivado, their new HDL development environment. I submitted a webcase on Vivado. I get a response that because I'm employed by a university that I am not entitled for support from Xilinx notwithstanding that I purchased the Xilinx product and am a paying customer. To this day (it has been a month) there has been no change in this situation. I think this is fraudulent. They were more than happy to accept our $*K for the tool license with no mention of this support discrimination up front. Too bad the university is unwilling to press this.

GetHuman: And what about Xilinx Inc.'s ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~univ111: For that I would say one out of five.

~univ111: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Xilinx Inc. to know who you are.
