Background on ~Dale's case

GetHuman: ~Dale - can you tell our other Equifax customers when your case took place?

GetHuman: Did you reach out to Equifax, and if so, how?
~Dale: I used the 800-846-5279 number I found for on the GetHuman Equifax customer phone number page I was on: Equifax Customer Service Phone Number
GetHuman: And which of these common Equifax customer issues best describes the reason you wanted to talk to them?
(Shows ~Dale a list of common Equifax problems)
~Dale: "Dispute a Charge" was why I was trying to call.

~Dale's review of Equifax customer service

GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Equifax customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Dale: Filing a dispute on line is nearly impossible. Unable to get through to a person by phone. Barriers to access customer "servicing" are at every turn. The answers to their security questions are public information at the courthouse and simply barriers to acessing customer service to dispute an item.**I dialed the number to be a Business Customer and the computer first ask me if I was an individual calling about my credit report. Press * and it transfered me to a number that eventually answered. They obviously know people are having difficulty accessing customer service. They just have no commitment to customer service.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Equifax. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Equifax problem?
~Dale: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Dale: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Equifax's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Dale: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Equifax customers?
~Dale: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Equifax to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~Dale taken from his Equifax customer service problem that occurred on November 14th, 2017.
