~Kristina: Yup. It was afternoon, on November 20th.
GetHuman: Did you reach out to HobbyTron, and if so, how?

GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's HobbyTron customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Kristina: We purchased an airsoft gun from Hobbytron and it broke within one day (in two different places). Because we had opened the package we could not get a refund. To get another gun, have it fixed, or get a store credit, we had to pay for shipping to send it back (from NH to CA). Shipping and handling for this $** gun was close to $**. I'm not sure what it would cost to send it back, but I'm not paying it. We'll end up with another piece of **** and lose even more money. They say that if I even tried to send a defective item back for a refund, I'd get charged with mail fraud. They do not stand behind their products, because if they did, they wouldn't charge you for shipping. They do a poor job with customer service, do not respond to most emails, and have a policy that punishes the customer if the product is defective.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting HobbyTron. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a HobbyTron problem?
~Kristina: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Kristina: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about HobbyTron's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Kristina: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other HobbyTron customers?
~Kristina: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for HobbyTron to know who you are.
