~Steve: The operation of my GPS unit started bogging down after I updated the maps. The customer service rep was very polite, spoke excellent English without any accent (which is good because I usually can't understand what they're saying when they have an accent.) He waited for me to search for my USB cord, and was ready to walk me through De-fragging the unit, but it turned out that GPS battery was dead, so he emailed me the instructions. I'll write another review after I try the defragging process.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Magellan. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Magellan problem?
~Steve: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Steve: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Magellan's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Steve: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Magellan customers?
~Steve: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Magellan to know who you are.
