~hippogrin: quality of communication and service at * is giving PPL way too much credit they deserve! *Their customer service is beyond the worst - it is unbelievable! I have both good and bad experiences with customer service and service in general, but PPL is topping my "wost" list. During the hurricane Irene we have been without the power for * days (and counting), but there is no way to talk to a live person at PPL there, all you get is automated messages extending our time without such life necessities as water daily!And there is no one at PPL who can own up to their failure to their customers!With that along, the option to make a payment is still available. I bet they'll still shut your service off i f payment is not sent in time, despite their " high call volume" due to hurricane!
