GetHuman-leahwar: Complaint for TJ Maxx
GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 12/07/17?
GetHuman-leahwar: I went to TJ Maxx in West Chester, Ohio to return a pair of pants. I did not have my receipt. I was told by an employee that the tag that was on the pants was not the correct tag and that it was mislabeled by an employee or had been tampered with by "someone." Her manager came over and told me that they could not do anything for me because "someone" had obviously changed the price tag on the merchandise. This was said in front of other customers and made me feel very uncomfortable and attacked. **The tone of both employees was very accusatory and I know that they were trying to suggest that I had somehow changed the tag on the merchandise in order to steal $**. **I frequent this TJ Maxx at least once every other week, as it is on my way home from work, but I will never go to that location again after the way I was treated. I have never been so disrespected before in a retail store, or anywhere. I do not appreciate being treated like a criminal due to the mistake of a TJ Maxx employee tagging a piece of merchandise wrong. **No one there offered me any apology, nor did they suggest anything else they could do for me - probably because they thought I stole the item. **After leaving this store, I called the Hamilton, Ohio location and spoke to Colton, the coordinator there. I explained the situation to him and he said I could bring the pants over and apologized for the way I was treated at the West Chester location. He was very accommodating and from now on, the Hamilton location will be my go-to store. **I do wonder if it is the policy of the West Chester TJ Maxx to treat frequent customers like criminals, because it sure seemed like that.
