GetHuman-emailwin: Discontinue phone service but keep phone
GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 11/28/17?
GetHuman-emailwin: I currently have a Verizon phone account. The program is called The edge. I buy a phone over ** months. A payment is included in my bill each month. I am moving out of the country to Rwanda March *. I will discontinue my phone service then. But, I want to keep my phone since I can use it there and a new phone (I phone * plus) costs $*,***. There is roughly $*** owed on my phone. I’m going to Africa as a missionary. I don’t have $*** cash to buy the phone. I’m currently paying about $** a month toward the phone. I want to discontinue my phone service but continue paying monthly for my phone.**I went in to the Verizon Store. They say what I want to do is possible but that they cannot do it. I have to talk to the financial folks.**Since I will not be here to write a monthly check, I’ll need them to draft monthly using a debit card.
