GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's eBay customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~John Ashcroft: My account disappeared after more than ** years of use. They claim there is no username that matches my account, and there is no account associated with the e-mail address that I used to register the e-bay account. When I called in, the phone system had me enter my phone number and zip code to look for my account -- and the phone system said that I had a valid account. After more than ** minutes on hold (despite an estimated time of ** minutes), I still haven't had any contact with the * Indian phone operator they have hired for this department. I find it rather convenient that my account information disappeared on the same day that I needed to file a grievance with a seller who did not have the legal right to sell the vehicle I purchased (it didn't actually belong to him). I'm getting the feeling that e-bay is on its way to lawsuit central.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting eBay. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a eBay problem?
~John Ashcroft: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~John Ashcroft: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about eBay's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~John Ashcroft: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other eBay customers?
~John Ashcroft: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for eBay to know who you are.
