GetHuman-415088: Be aware that when you use air mile points for a flight you are automatically relegated to third class status when it comes to needing any assistance with problems *Example: Flight delayed for ** hours due to mechanical fault. Attempts to get assistance gets the response "Unable to help as you are on air miles, try contacting your credit card company" My advice based on the overall experiences on recent flights purchased by using points is, use them up quickly and cancel your Aeroplan card as this is a group that is heading for disaster in a big way.
