~Pmurray: I was on hold yesterday evening for ** minutes and though the rep spoke very good english, was polite and tried to answer my question I was not satisfied because she still did not explain to me how nor why, if I am on budget billing, my bill went from $***.** a month to $***.**. Then she says for me not being charged for what I used isnt that the way Budget Billing is suppose to work? I thought the purpose was so customers who might have problems paying exorbitant bills might be able to spread the cost out over a ** month period? Ameren goes up and up on the rates every year claims they are here to help the community, the public and I do not see it. Their service ***** half the time and their customer service such as it is, even worse. Yet the public is consistently at the mercy of this monopoly because they are the only game in town. Congress or the PSC should be looking out for the interest of consumers.

~Pmurray: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Pmurray: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Ameren UE's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Pmurray: For that I would say five out of five.
