~dfwtvman: The conversation should have been simple: I needed balances on * Borders gift cards that were * & ** years old, and Borders has since been taken over by Barnes & Noble. This young person had a bit of an accent & a bit of problem understanding me. She finally got it correct but had to place me on hold to ask someone else the answer to my problem. Then asked me for my email address & phone *. I was placed on hold * times and finally after ** minutes, she could not help me. She suggested I take the cards to a Barnes and Nobles store personally and present the cards.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Borders. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Borders problem?
~dfwtvman: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~dfwtvman: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Borders's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~dfwtvman: For that I would say one out of five.

~dfwtvman: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Borders to know who you are.
