GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Capital One customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~dee dee: I sent a letter to see if they would settle for a lessor amount than owed. I have paid over $*,***.** on a balance that began as $***.**. With all the late fees and over the limit (which they put me over the limit) have cost me way too much money. I was asking for a pay off amount to get a loan and get rid of Capital One -- They ****! This is the biggest rip off credit card there is out there!! I received a letter telling me to call to discuss my request. I called and the representative was not able to help me with anything!! They lie, cheat, steal and will not work with you at all. They are totally against their customers and try to get as many over the limit charges and late charges as they can -- they don't care what they have to do to get it. I have been paying for over * years and have not used this card since March ****. I will never get it paid off with they fees added on. I quit paying them and do not plan to pay them until they contact me with a pay off amount.

GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Capital One customers?
