~mg: I sent my laptop to Dell to replace the LCD screen that was damaged. I told them to not touch any files on the hard drive. It came back fixed, but all of my files were gone. After being transferred to at least a dozen different people over three days, no one would acknowledge that Dell made a mistake and no one would even consider at least giving me a refund on the repair charge. Overall, the Dell service department was incompetent and useless. I would highly recommend no one sends their computer to Dell to be repaired.

~mg: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~mg: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Dell's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~mg: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Dell customers?
~mg: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Dell to know who you are.
