GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Equifax customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Mary H.: If you have someone trying to help you, they must be in the same room as you. The company does not allow three-way calls. They said they would send the free copy of the credit report, but first they pitched us on paying for Equifax's credit monitoring service. If we accepted, we would have gotten the report right away, but since we didn't we have to wait *-** days to have it mailed. It seems to me that, if they have erroneous info on your report, they should want to get it removed as soon as possible. They could give consumers free access right away to refute it, but they choose to mail the report instead. It will be seven to ** business days before I even get the report and potentially a month or more before it will be corrected. Yet the consumer, not the credit bureau, bears the damage.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Equifax. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Equifax problem?
~Mary H.: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Mary H.: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Equifax's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Mary H.: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Equifax customers?
~Mary H.: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Equifax to know who you are.
