~I have not idea: I complained that recent cans of coffee I purchased (*-**) have been bitter. The customer service representative told me there is nothing the company is doing differently several times. This response automatically suggest I am responsible for the bitter coffee. I seriously doubt the company will admit they may be buying a cheaper bean or cutting corners on manufacturing. Most companies are doing this as a way to increase revenue. In addition, I don't believe it is good customer service to tell the customer the responsibility for the problem is the customer. I will not be buying your coffee again.
