GetHuman-randbcox: dispute over food
GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 12/01/17?
GetHuman-randbcox: Yesterday I stopped by the KFC on Western Ave. in Knoxville, TN. I went through the drive thru and purchased the $** meal. The lady told me they had "no biscuits" so I asked if I could have an extra side instead. She agreed. When I pulled up to the window, she took my card and asked me to pull forward and wait. After an unusually long wait, she brought my food to me. Upon arriving home, I found only * side dishes and a meal box that consisted of * wings, * thigh, * cookies and * individual sides. Because it was pouring rain and rush hour traffic was horrible, I called ahead and spoke to Vanessa. She told me to come back and she would fix the problem. I went to the drive thru but was told I would have to park and come in the store despite the pouring rain. Even though she knew I was there (there was only * customer in the store) I was ignored for several minutes. Finally a young lady asked me "is this for here or to go". I explained the situation and she went to tell Vanessa, who appeared to be quite agitated. I was hatefully told I would have to produce a receipt (which I did not receive) in order to obtain the food. I explained I was given no receipt but could show her the transaction on my cell phone through online banking. She refused to accept that proof and asked me to produce the food. I told her I had left the sides at home (I did not receive the extra one) and the other food was in my van since I knew it was against health regulations to return it. Apparently, she did not want to brave the rain anymore than I did to retrieve the box. She then asked me the name of the person who took my order. I did not know but explained it had only been about ** minutes and since my order was unusual (extra side because they had no biscuits) that the person should remember me. She told me if I could not tell her who served me, she could not help me. At this point, I had already spent close to ** minutes trying to feed my family. I told her I would pay for more chicken and request a refund from corporate based on the bank information I showed her. She walked away and I waited almost * minutes for someone to take the second order. Again, there was only * customer in the store and they were waiting for their food. Upon ordering my food, I watched as they filled * orders for drive thru customers before they even began mine. By that time, they were out of wings and I was told I would have to wait. When she finally brought my chicken, she told me her name was Vanessa McCoy and she was not concerned about my contacting corporate because "they know me". Overall, it took over an hour to purchase my family's meal. I have my banking information scanned into the computer and can forward it to you if necessary.
