~Webwader: Called Support with an issue with Outlook and IE** caused by a Microsoft diagnostics app that I had run. Tech took over my computer and spent about an hour (most of it for a Systems can) and could not fix the problem. Said for $** for one-time fix or a year of support for $*** they could fix the problem. I declined. Since IE didn't work properly, I used Chrome and found a KB solution to the problem that took about * min to correct. You would think that first level tech suooort would have that level of knowledge.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Microsoft - Tech Support. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Microsoft - Tech Support problem?
~Webwader: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Webwader: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Microsoft - Tech Support's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Webwader: For that I would say two out of five.
