~Chris Trainor: Once I got a person, they were helpful. HOWEVER, trying to get that person was a nightmare. Their phone service recordings send me on the goosechase of the century. It was TOTALLY unhelpful and extremely aggravating. Whoever runs Nelnet needs to be dragged out into the street and shot. The ONLY way I was able to get a hold of a REAL person was from this review system. another person who wrote a review suggested typing in "*" for your account number. You have to do this * times, and then it forwards you to a live person. When I finally got someone, I asked the person what their direct number was in case I got disconnected, they would said only the *** number that they provide, but then they would never tell me the "path" to get there.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Nelnet Loans. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Nelnet Loans problem?
~Chris Trainor: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Chris Trainor: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Nelnet Loans's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Chris Trainor: For that I would say four out of five.

~Chris Trainor: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Nelnet Loans to know who you are.
