GetHuman-grrlscou: Buy out plan misunderstanding
GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 11/25/17?
GetHuman-grrlscou: I went into Sprint back in January and talked to a guy named David at the Alderwood Mall store in Lynnwood, WA. I asked about the buy out plan available and what I needed to do in order to do so. He mentioned about having my phone number, account number. After everything is said and done he said all I had to do was bring my bill from my old carrier into a Sprint store to be sent to the Corporate office, in order to receive a gift card in amount of the bill. And that was it, and I shouldn't have to pay it myself.*I recently asked again about this same deal earlier this month and talked to a girl, I do not recall her name but she did work at the same store. I went in and asked about the buy out deal that is available again making sure because my phone was stolen Feb *th around **pm.*I still wanted to switch to Sprint but I wasn't sure if I still could without my phone physically there. I continue to talk to the girl and ask if I needed my phone to do the buy out and just to switch over in general. She said that I did not need my phone and I should be just fine. Knowing that I could still switch, I went forward with this decision on Feb **th. A guy named Justin helped me this day, still at the same store and I brought in a phone that a friend had let me borrow. We got everything set up and I made sure about the buy out plan for the *rd time. Again he told me the same.*Today as of Feb. **th my dad went into the Sprint store in Yakima, WA and paid part of my bill for me. He asked about the buy out plan and the guy there said I had to send in my phone I had from U.S. Cellular along with the bill and it must be in good condition to be accepted. Knowing this I would have not switched to Sprint without my phone. I don't believe I'm the one at fault as I seeked for information about it * times and not one Sprint worker had mentioned the FULL details to me. I would love to stay and be a loyal customer to Sprint and not have to go to a competitor.
