GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Travelocity customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~lambrusco: It took me several hours to try and book a vacation package last night because their servers were overloaded. To make matters worse, I found a nice Travelocity coupon for $** bucks off (and that was why I chose them over Expedia), but when I tried to apply it, I got a system-generated error that read: "Sorry, we can't apply your code right now. Please try and apply it later." Of course, when you call in, they won't honor the promo code, which under normal circumstances, I would understand, but given the fact code wouldn't apply because of THEIR system error, they should have applied the credit to my account. On the payment page, I gave up on the code and hit "submit" to pay, only to arrive on an "We're Stuffed. It appears our servers are overloaded" page. How infuriating. I had to call and wait ** minutes to get a live person to find out if my payment even went through. When I asked about getting an adjustment for the failed coupon code, he gave me the lame "our system won't allow us"
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Travelocity. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Travelocity problem?
~lambrusco: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~lambrusco: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Travelocity's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~lambrusco: For that I would say two out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Travelocity customers?
~lambrusco: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Travelocity to know who you are.
