(Shows ~gaaack a list of common Amazon problems)
~gaaack: "Hacked account" was why I was trying to call.
~gaaack's review of Amazon customer service
GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Amazon customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~gaaack: Got an e-mail from Amazon saying my account had been immediately closed due to "possible fradulent activity," which would scare the **** out of anyone, but then in follow-up e-mails they refused to tell me ANYTHING. Finally called the number with Gethuman (Thank you!) and got a person, who was very UNhelpful, said basically he could not tell me why they did it, only that they did it. Asked for a supervisor, was on hold for almost ** minutes, and then he told me that Amazon could not and would not tell me why or even when my account was accessed, what was done, etc., only that something MIGHT have been done and it would probably be best if I cancelled all my credit cards and e-mail accounts and changed all my passwords. Ummm, right, on your say so. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the end of the call, especially when he promised full cooperation with the police, if they got involved. WITH WHAT? I wanted to yell at him. Sheesh.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Amazon. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Amazon problem?
~gaaack: I'd give them a five out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~gaaack: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Amazon's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~gaaack: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Amazon customers?
~gaaack: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Amazon to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~gaaack taken from his Amazon customer service problem that occurred on October 25th, 2017.
