GetHuman-416579: After waiting almost forever, one of the nastier "customer Service" boileroom operators, abusively accused my wife and I of defaulting on last month's mortgage payment. In fact, we have the timely cancelled check and were instructed to fax it to the servicer. This was done and for almost * *** weeks have tried to get someone ( anyone??) to return our calls and confirm receipt of the fax. As there seems to be no one in charge, we were summarily dismissed from the calls, with no confirmation. We have been with Ast Fed for almost ** years. This treatment is beyond the money center banks. It is like dealing with ignorant and hostile pepolple. Maybe a new servicer is in order?
