~WTF Asus?: My Asus laptop failed just after the warranty expired. Called customer service and was told as a courtesy they could extend the warranty and repairs would be covered under warranty. I was pleasantly surprised they offered to do that, but that didn't last long. Had to call back customer service after updating my warranty. No one will acknowledge what the first CSR told me about extending the warranty! All subsequent CSRs tell me the warranty can't be extended and I must pay for all repairs. I even wrote a complaint letter, which was answered in the same manner, "we don't extend warranties". No one seems willing to even acknowledge the possibility of what the first CSR told me.*I understand my warranty expired and when I initially called it was to find out what my options were. To have your own employee give a customer information that the company is not willing to back up, whether that info is right or wrong, is just bad customer service!*As a side note, I did a lot of research about la
