GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Hotels.com customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~kecca21: My wife and I booked a resort through booking.com for Orlando Florida. I received a **% coupon from hotels.com, so I called customer service to see if they would match booking.com's price $****.** plus take the **% coupon off. Hotels.com was asking $****.** for the same everything(room, date, people, ect). The customer service representative found all of this information on booking.com. He then made excuses that they couldn't give a "best price" guarantee on this resort because they couldn't verify booking.com's taxes & fees (even though it told you exactly what they were **.*% & resort fee of $**). Really what happened is hotels.com doesn't believe in a best price guarantee if there is too big of difference. Booking.com was over $*,*** cheaper for the exact same reservation. I have never had an issue with hotels.com, but going forward I will always make sure I go to Booking.com for my reservations.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Hotels.com. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Hotels.com problem?
~kecca21: I'd give them a one out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~kecca21: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Hotels.com's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~kecca21: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Hotels.com customers?
~kecca21: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Hotels.com to know who you are.
