GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's American Express customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~rick: Amex customer service is reaching an all time low. Mumbai India is their center for fraud control. Guess how that script read. What a disaster. Company card expenses consistently over ***k*month. They were able to flag a ** dollar charge as potential fraud from a Shell gas station in California. Wow, how impressive to waste the comptroller's * hours to verify card in possession and charge valid for the traveling representative. How are you today, Mr. xxxx. Oh I am sorry to hear that Mr. xxxx, please hold on while I check the reason for suspected fraudulent charge. Can you verify employee yyy has her card in their possession? No they are not sitting right next to you? Okay can you verify that the charge made at a gas station in California for ** dollars was made by employee yyy? No? They are still not sitting right next to you? Oh well call us back when you know. Have a good day. What an idiot!
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting American Express. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a American Express problem?
~rick: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~rick: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about American Express's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~rick: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other American Express customers?
~rick: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for American Express to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~rick taken from his American Express customer service problem that occurred on November 1st, 2017.
