GetHuman-123924: We recently moved into a home and called CPS to open an account for new service. upon speaking with the CPS I was told that I would have to pay fees that were billed to the address. I thought it was ridiculous but I paid it and service was turned on. Now I received my first bill.. $****.*** dollars.. they said it was a previous bill and I was responsible for it... Note: Previous bill from the past tenant! Cps has a monopoly on the power in San Antonio unlike in Corpus where you have a choice.. They bully Single moms and families for money they shouldnt be responsible for. We have called the attorney General to report the case .....still awaitting a response.
