~boburt2000: The service with Hertz went very well until a month after our business had ended. I received a bill in the mail from a company called PlatePass for **$. Apparently all Hertz cars are equipped with a smart card for tolls, so that if you ever go through a toll PlatePass has record of it. We were never informed about this service and NEVER WENT ON A TOLL ROAD, yet I am being charged **$ for spending SIX MINUTES on one. This is ludicrous, and Hertz will only tell you that if you had read the small writing on the *rd page of your contract you would have seen the information on these charges. I called * times and spoke to * different Customer Service agents and supervisors and was basically told "Sorry for ya". Needless to say I will never be doing business again with Hertz and I encourage everyone to inquire about this service before using any car rental service. There is currently a class action lawsuit for this BS, and I filed a claim.

GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~boburt2000: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Hertz's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~boburt2000: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Hertz customers?
~boburt2000: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Hertz to know who you are.
