~Amy: I called this number and was immediately sent to what sounded like an overseas call center. The woman asked for information such as email addresses and account numbers. I logged into my paypal account while I talked to her and saw the 'one time verification code' when I clicked on the 'call us' from the 'help' page, which made me uncomfortable with the call I had made* so I hung up and called the other number with the verification. I was talking to a person within * minute of putting the code into the automated system only. The wait time was no worse and no call center noises and there weren't questions about my email addresses, only verification info.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting PayPal. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a PayPal problem?
~Amy: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Amy: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about PayPal's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Amy: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other PayPal customers?
~Amy: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for PayPal to know who you are.
