~mightywun: I rented a car from Dollar rent a car at LAX during the period of ********-******** so that my wife and I and two other friends could travel to San Bernadino. When I returned the car I found that the initial representative added charges without my approval. The car that I confirmed for * days @$***day should have cost somewhere around $** plus tax (also including an authorized charge to return the car with an empty tank). Instead my bill was over $***. Some of these charges were not visible on the original rental agreement, which means that the initial representative added these charges after my departure. In addition, when I told the initial representative that I would be using my own coverage, your representative told me that I could not rent a car from Dollar without the insurance and that I should push the accept button when prompted. **The representative that I dealt with on my return (Martin) helped to resolve the issue.
