~Thrifty is Costly: When I rented my car in Tuscon, Az. I noticed a charge of $***.** for insurance which I questioned. I was told that the charge would be removed if the car was found to have no damage. When I received my credit card bill the charge was still there. I called Thrifty and they wanted to reduce that charge by half, but would not acknowledge the misrepresentation. I called my credit card company and explained the situation. They contacted Thrifty and asked to be contacted within ** days. They removed the charge because Thrifty never contacted them. Thrifty sent me a letter undated that they claimed to have sent to American Express. Now I am being hounded by Thrifty's collection agency.
