GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 11/27/17?
GetHuman-kristin51: went on vacation almost * weeks ago, was double booked when i arrived at Christmas eve spent all evening looking for a hotel found one and had to hotel hop our entire week stay. I had family fly in from the Bahamas for this vacation (that was embarrassing). I had to beg flip-key to send me a refund or find a new place. I was told on Christmas eve that no one could help me until after the holidays. I was like you have my money and no one can help me? This was unacceptable to me. Finally day * i contacted my bank to ask for a refund so i could rent somewhere cause we didn't carry much cash on us as we planned to spend most of the time in the cabin and had a few museums planned to see. We had to come out of pocket to eat out everyday, when we planned on cooking, hotel hoping wasn't full either, which is why we booked * months in advance so that we would have "a peace of mind" unfortunately we had nothing close to that. We spent everyday of our vacation sitting in the car after we had to check out of a hotel, looking online for the next nights location, which ruined our days. I wish that i had never had gone on the vacation at this point. If that wasn't the worst part, towards the end of the week my card started declining. I was shocked, called my bank, they stated flip key never returned my money, therefore they closed my bank account, and i asked to speak to a manager to no avail. The decision is irreversible and i have to find a new bank. However my old bank reported me to the credit bureau stating that i committed claim fraud and now i cant open a debit card account at any bank! I need this fixed asap.

GetHuman-kristin51: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
GetHuman-kristin51: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about TripAdvisor's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
GetHuman-kristin51: For that I would say two out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other TripAdvisor customers?
GetHuman-kristin51: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for TripAdvisor to know who you are.
