~hole: First number I called said blah blah blah and "press * for operator." I pressed zero and was told I dialed an incorrect phone number. I pressed it four more times with a pause between them and got the same answer. I called this number and it didn't even recognize that I was hitting a number. It's clear when a company doesn't want to provide customer service. They must be in cahoots with AT&T.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting U-Haul. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a U-Haul problem?
~hole: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~hole: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about U-Haul's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~hole: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other U-Haul customers?
~hole: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for U-Haul to know who you are.
