~Frustrated: When my wife, kids, and I applied, their passport cards came within * weeks (routine service) and * weeks later I received a form letter about my first * middle names violating the **-character limit on the card. The passport renewal application does not mention this, nor did the local city clerk who prepared my application. I still have no passport after * weeks and I travel in less than a week. The folks at the *** number seem to know only what the database tells them. They sound like they are speaking from scripts, and are generally unhelpful. When I mentioned the **-character limit being their fault, they did not respond* only silence
