GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Alagasco customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Unhappy: We pay out gas bill through a direct withdrawl on out debit card. Our debit card expired, and we didn't realize it. Rather than sending an email to notify us, they came to our home during the day and shut off the gas. We realized it by a tag on the door. I was at home and they didn't knock on the door or anything, I could have paid them right then, but didn't even have that choice. We went online and fixed the information with the new card, and paid the past bill. We then had to call them the next day to have them come and turn it back on. On addition to our one month late bill of over $***.** we had to pay a $***.** reconnection and deposit. They didn't even care about the circumstances of the situation. On top of it, we had to wait ** hours from the time we paid the reconnection at *:** pm, to have our gas turned back on.**I wouldn't recommend this service for anyone. We have to use our hot water, but we will not be running our heat unless absolutely necessary from now on.
