GetHuman-309771: Thanks to this web site, I was able to reach customer service, which is IMPOSSIBLE without such "insider knowledge." Prior to checking out the tip on this site, I spent a great deal of time trying to reach customer service through the Duke Energy web site recommendations. I called to see if there had been a misread on our meter, since we were billed **% more in KW usage compared to same time last year. The representative talked to me like I was in kindergarten--not asking questions but instead lecturing me on the effects of weather temperatures on HVAC systems. Um, duh. Duke Energy's relentless pursuit of profits for stockholders and their opacity in customer service demonstrate an entitled corporate attitude.
