GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Home Depot customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~CorporationsHaveUsByTheBalls: I needed a copy of my receipt for a appliance rebate from my utility. When I called Lowes it was soooo much easier to get ahold of a real human on the phone and the receipt was in my inbox the next day. By contrast, the automated system at Home Depot hung up on me twice when I tried to reach a live person. After finally reaching a person by selecting the place an onlne order option (I figured they would connect me to live person if they thought it meant a sale) it was a transfer and a lot of looking for me in their system before they found my order. The customer service rep (who was nice) promised to immediately send my receipt copy but * hours later, I still haven't received it. :(
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Home Depot. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Home Depot problem?
~CorporationsHaveUsByTheBalls: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~CorporationsHaveUsByTheBalls: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Home Depot's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~CorporationsHaveUsByTheBalls: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Home Depot customers?
~CorporationsHaveUsByTheBalls: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Home Depot to know who you are.
