~78mitchell: "Square Trade has been a lifesaver for me twice now! I live in a house with two kids * years and under, one dog and an admittedly butter-fingers me. Electronics in my house have a short life span, unfortunately, but Square Trade has been such a relief. You can handle your claim completely online or call if you prefer to talk to a person. In my case they sent me an amazon giftcard (the place I bought the tablet) for MORE than the amount I originally paid and I was able to replace it right away. The only time I recommend another plan is for your phone's insurance plan If you lose items like I do. I have had one phone stolen and am constantly backtracking to find it after I misplace it. Square trade wouldn't cover theft or loss. For the items that you are more worried about damage than loss, Square trade is less expensive and the way to go!
