~not an idiot: Concierge service rep asked what internet service I wanted and proceeded to collect my name, address, phone number, dob, ssn and then asked for a credit card num to charge the fees and first months bill saying "then you'll be all set." All set for what? Identity theft? I hadn't set up an appt to have a tech come to the house or discuss any other plans to actually get the internet service to my home. How does a phone conversation and paying money give me internet at my house?! B.s.
