~cln: I used the Allstate Motor Club roadside service in January for a simple jumpstart. The team took over an hour to arrive, had a dead jump box, and so attached jumper cables from their running truck to my dead car. After multiple attempts, power surges, and several sparks, my car started. Since then, the OnStar no longer functions and the entire stereo system was dead. I contacted Allstate immediately and they agreed to reimburse the cost of repair. Four months later when the car was fixed, I was told the cost was too high to reimburse. I had been in contact with multiple people at their agency throughout the duration of the repair, and now almost * months later, they still refuse to reimburse me for the costs of car repair. I have been an Allstate member for over * years, my family for over **. I am beyond disappointed, frustrated, and tired with your company. As a ** year old female graduate student, I do not have the means to pay for costly repairs but thought the value of th
