~macval: Asked to speak to retention department, was sent to disconnect dept. My bill keeps going up. He offered me a one time $** credit. Said no thank you. I was paying about $**, now $*** and in two months it will be over $*** per month a without the encore channels. What a joke. I told him Dish is offering the *** pkg for $**.** that includes Encore, with HBO, $**.** with DVR and rentals. In one year goes to $***, still a huge savings. He thanked me for being a customer after I said I was going to Dish. That was it. Directv was not interested in keeping as a customer, Ive been with them for all but two years since ****.

~macval: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~macval: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about DirecTV's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~macval: For that I would say two out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other DirecTV customers?
~macval: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for DirecTV to know who you are.
