GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's DirecTV customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~NeverBuyDirecTV: DirecTV is a horrible company. Do not subscribe to DirecTV--ever. It is in their business model to automatically charge customers hundreds of dollars for "failure-to-return" equipment--even when you do timely return equipment. They even have a special contract with FedEx "SmartPost" such that the return-equipment boxes that DirecTV provides you do not "track" when the boxes actually reach DirecTV--so it is impossible to verify that DirecTV has indeed received your returned equipment. Nightmare trying to deal with them.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting DirecTV. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a DirecTV problem?
~NeverBuyDirecTV: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~NeverBuyDirecTV: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about DirecTV's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~NeverBuyDirecTV: For that I would say two out of five.

~NeverBuyDirecTV: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for DirecTV to know who you are.
