~MrMC: I had a home repair emergency that took over ** hours for First American to schedule repairs. On another date I filed a claim for a septic system pumping. First American was unable to retain a contractor in my area. First American claims rep instructed me to obtain a local contractor and First American would reimburse. I contacted a contractor who pumped the system, and I submitted my cost to First American. Later, I received a call from the claims manager who advised they would only reimburse less than half of what I paid. First American withheld $** dollars from my payment to file the paperwork.
